LOS CÓNDORES & LAS ÁGUILAS VIEWPOINT
One of the most accessible hikes in the area — ideal for families. Just a few kilometers from town along the same trail, you’ll be treated to spectacular views of the entire valley, the village below, and Lago Viedma stretching into the distance.
The main trail begins at the park ranger station, on the eastern outskirts of El Chaltén. At the trail junction, take the left fork and begin a gradual ascent toward the first overlook: Los Cóndores viewpoint.
To reach the Las Águilas viewpoint, simply return to the previous junction and take the left-hand path, which leads to one of the most beautiful viewpoints in the valley, with Lago Viedma as a stunning backdrop.
And true to their names — if you’re lucky, you may spot Andean condors or eagles soaring overhead
